Boy, do you guys know me!

Alright, you guessed it! The lovely new contraption does have something to do with reducing my plastic baggie and plastic wrap consumption (I guess the fact that I just blogged about this was an easy give away). Meet my new Food Kozy. Here's how they work:

You open up the kozy

Put your food of choice in (thanks to Greg's lunch sandwich for serving for demo purposes)

And seal it up using the Velcro strips

Seems pretty easy, huh? I'm still trying them out, so I don't have a full review yet. My early thoughts are that they're easy to use, easy to clean, and really cute but they can't work for everything. If the item you want wrapped is really big or really small, then the Velcro strips won't seal properly. I guess even if they don't work for everything, they are still helping me to use less plastic, so that's worth it.

I bought them from a mom-friend of mine who just opened an on-line store selling unique baby products, but these are on there too. Check it out:

You should totally buy from there. They rock.

The end.

hmmmm now we aren't a sandwich family at all.....

do you find these work for other purposes as well? Could you cut things up and put them in it for example?

Your mom friend's website is super snazzy! The website suggests that you can use them the same way you'd use saran wrap/baggies, like Erin was suggesting. You'll have to let us know how it works... I'm wondering if food would dry out in the fridge.

very cool and look pretty easy to make..just cut a big circle and sew on velcro...you could always make some bigger or smaller?? I love that they lay flat!! I hate cleaning out bags and trying to figure out how to dry them! my paper towel holder usually gets used for that since i don't buy paper towel.
